Becoming "Mom"

In 2014 I traded in my 9 to 5 job to become a stay-at-home mom when Zara was born and it has been one of the BEST decisions I have ever made.

When my husband and I decided that I would not be going back to work after my maternity leave, I couldn't imagine how amazing my life would become, but it wasn’t an easy decision. Sacrifices have been made financially, tears have been shed and doubt has tried to creep in, but five years later we still have peace and we have been able to make it work in. As I transitioned into motherhood I quickly realized that it wasn’t just another role or hat I would wear, but I was stepping into my future and into my calling and I wanted to share this journey with anyone that wanted to hear it.

I first started blogging 2011 as a newlywed during my final year at San Diego State University and it began as my way of me documenting that new season of my life. Over the last few years my writings have slowly evolved into my process of becoming “mom” and this has become a place where I could share our struggles and our victories with the hope of connecting with other people that may be going through the same thing and simply being a friendly voice of encouragement, because God knows that mothering isn’t always easy. My goal is to always be honest about motherhood and having a positive approach towards parenting and marriage. After taking a break from blogging in 2018, I am jumping back in as I continue to document the journey of the Ramirez Tribe.

I am not a writer and I don’t profess to be an expert, but I am a stay-at-home mom that wants to create a positive and encouraging space so that we can all come together and have honest conversations about marriage, motherhood, life and kids so that we can build each other up and speak life into the seasons that we are in. It has been amazing to connect with other moms online throughout the years with this blog and through social media that have encouraged me, have been a source of wisdom and that have taught me that we are not in this alone. Peacefully Wild is all about finding your peace through the wilderness of life and knowing that you are not alone. We are a part of a greater community.
